- If you wish to use our templates on your computer you will require Microsoft Office (can be purchased for Windows or Macintosh), or other compatible software such as the open source options - OpenOffice.org (free to use for Windows, Macintosh or Linux), or NeoOffice (free to use for Macintosh only) products.
- The letter templates provided by AdviceGuide are in 'Portable Document Format' (PDF).
You may need to install the free Adobe Reader software to view or print them.

- If you cannot select parts of the text from an Adobe Reader window to copy and paste into your own letter, then proceed as follows: Click the 'Text Select' button in the toolbar. Then, when your cursor is over the text, it will change from the default 'hand' to a text 'I' bar, allowing you to select specific sections. Other PDF readers have similar facilties.
